~New York City~

New York City is often looked at as the most
beautiful city in the world! With tons of skyscrapers and almost every movie
being filmed there, it's hard to think that the city is in trouble! Here are
some facts that would lead you to believe that:

•8,000,000 people in 303
square miles

Number of companies involved in the New York stock exchange: about
3,000
Combined market capitalization of the
New York stock exchange: $15 trillion
Cost of a pretzel from a street vendor:
$1
•New York City has 722 miles of subway track
17% of New York City families report a
net worth of $100,000 or more.

Yet, the city has problems that are being left untouched...

31% of New York
families are living at or below the poverty line.
•Number of homeless men, women and children:
66,000

There are 90,298 city residents known to
be living with AIDS, and up to 45,000 more who don't know that they're
infected.

The reasons cited for New York's high AIDS rates include the city's
high levels of drug use, a permissive sexual atmosphere and widespread
poverty. The combination of these factors is what makes New York's
epidemic distinct.

You can help by getting involved and spreading the love of Jesus Christ to a
city that needs to see it!
